Our Urban Agriculture Event has been rescheduled! The new date is Monday, February 20th from 7-8:30pm at the NIC Stan Hagen Theatre.
LUSH Valley recognizes that the first step in exploring this topic is to hear from the public and address concerns and share ideas. The forum will feature perspectives of experts who work with chickens, bees and urban agriculture projects. There will be opportunity for the public to ask questions and learn more about urban agriculture.
We highly encourage carpooling or taking public transit to the event. LUSH will be able to reimburse parking costs ($2) for those in need. Please contact us in advance at 250-331-0152 or firstname.lastname@example.org
An online survey, created in partnership with sociology students at NIC, will be available on our website starting February 20th. Submit the survey and enter to win a prize of a local gift food basket valued at $100!
Additionally, two public open houses will be held in west and east Courtenay:
Tuesday, Feb 21 from 6-8pm at Lake Trail School in the community room
Wednesday, Feb 22 from 6-8pm at Mark Isfeld School in the library.
Results from the consultation will be shared with the City of Courtenay and the public this spring.
We look forward to seeing you at the forum and/or community consultations!
