Lush still has lots 'cooking' with our Food Programs in February, and this month ushers in quite a few excellent community partnerships with Family Literacy Outreach (FLO) as well as with our friends at Lake Trail and Finding Your Red Road to Health.
Dad's Night Out has been a real success so far, so Dads, don't be shy! Come cook a meal with us each Friday night at the Lewis Centre with your little ones and learn how to create new healthy meals at home. This is a free, drop in program and it wraps up February 19th, so don't hesitate to come down and check it out!
There are limited spaces available for our new Food Security Workshops in partnership with Finding Your Red Road to Health. If you are interested in securing a spot for either of these excellent workshops please call us at 250-331-0152 or email firstname.lastname@example.org
February is also the time of the year where we start to awaken after winter hibernation and start thinking about the growing season. Are you passionate about growing local food and community? Join us for our Steering Committee information session Thursday, February 18th. Learn what our plans are for 2016 and what roles are available to help us "grow"! We are looking for passionate people from diverse backgrounds and experiences.
