Farming - Lannon Road

Lannon Road Garden Farm has:
  • 10ft deer fence around 3 sides of its perimeter and a 6ft chain link fence along the remaining
  • six raised beds, approximately 4’ x 12, seeded to rye fall of 2009
  • 34ft x 34ft broken ground seeded to clover fall of 2009
  • a very large pile of leaves collected from courteny cemetery that is currently decomposing
  • a 25ft long by 5ft wide and (at one time) 3ft highcompost heap, layered with wood chips, seaweed, horse manure, grass, and a few other things that should equal soil.
  • 100ft of 1/2 poly irrigation pipe plus some fittings, 12ft by 8ft by 6ft high starter house (needs frame), a few large pieces of poly, and enough lumber to build a green house 10ft by 30ft
Currently Working On:
  • frame for starter house
  • the construction of the large green house
  • installation of the irrigation
Currently volunteering within the garden project: Aaron, Ann, Nancy, and Nathan.

What We Need:
• Rototiller
• Compost & Leaves/Organic materials to make our own compost
• Irrigation system/Poly tunnels:
 ~ We need timer and drip system
 ~ Any type and size of irrigation pipe line and materials

Lettuce; Dill; Parsley; Beans; radish;Tomatoes; Chives; Oregano

Fall Harvest: (2009)
Beets; Leeks; Lettuce; Carrots
