SEASON'S GREETINGS and HAPPY NEW YEAR!!! 12/24/2009
We would like to take this time to give special thanks to all of you for your generous support and sacrifices this past year. Community has no meaning without people like you getting together to help others. The supplies, work and time that has been donated by you has been what has made LUSH VALLEY such a success, and so valuable to our little town. Every year LUSH VALLEY gets bigger, more recognition, and does more for our community, but it's the volunteers like you that make it happen, and for that we would like to say how much we appreciate you and your time. Here's wishing you and yours a safe and prosperous new year! Betty-Anne Add Comment Proposed directors meeting 12/21/2009
Hello fellow 'LUSHes', To follow up on the brief mention of an 'extracurricular' meeting at the recent board meeting, I would like to propose that we set up a meeting time outside the regular monthly board meetings, to discuss project ideas and organizational direction, and generally foster good communication within the group. I'm proposing this idea as a response to several discussions with members and board members about these (and other) issues over the last several weeks. A common theme has been concerns about communication and cohesiveness, and as secretary I feel it's partially my responsibility to try to promote effective communication among board members and regular members so that we can be effective as an organization. Thus, I propose: LUSH steering committee meeting on the last thursday of each month, 7pm at my house (931 Williams Beach Rd). Thank-you, and best of health and happiness this holiday season to you and yours, Sincerely, Megan Halstead, A. Despite not having quorum to vote in new board members at the last meeting, there was a very positive atmosphere with exciting news and updates from old and new members. Many thanks to all the folks taking time out of their schedules to attend and contribute to board meetings. You are the gears that make this society function and provide a service in our community. | LUSH VALLEY
